Commemorative Slates made with original slate from the roof of the Houghton Memorial Building are ready. A limited number of these original slates etched with a drawing of the building are available. These Commemorative Slates make great gifts for the holiday and special occasions. The cost is $30; shipping and handling is $10.
Slates are available at the Historical Society at 4 Rogers Street, Wednesdays from 1 to 4 PM, and on the second Sunday of the month from 2 to 4 PM. You can also order slates by contacting the Historical Society by phone 978-486-8202, or e-mail Littleton.HistSociety@Verizon.net.
The Commemorative Slates are part of Littleton’s history. You can have a personal token of the original Slate as a remembrance of the Houghton Memorial Building – Littleton’s architectural jewel, and century-old landmark at the Town Center. What are your memories of the Houghton Building?
