Cancel BEANTOWN GIRLS
April 2, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
The Reuben Hoar Library and the Historical Society will co-sponsor an author talk with Jane Healey on Thursday, April 2, at 7:00 pm in the library’s Couper Room. Ms. Healey will discuss her popular novel, “The Beantown Girls”, a story based on the previously little-known Red Cross Clubmobile Girls who bolstered the morale of the U.S. troops in Europe during WWII. Relying on actual writings from the girls themselves, Ms. Healey offers a glimpse of the “Greatest Generation” and the sacrifices of war from a female perspective.
The program is free and registration is encouraged, but not necessary, on the calendar section of the library’s website at: littletonlibrary.org.
