CURRENT EXHIBIT:   Artistry in Iron

Mr. Erickson’s shop, in the old Depot building on Taylor St., is where he salvages stoves and parts to repair and sell beautifully refurbished antique stoves.  David will tell us about the beginnings of his business and his search for old kitchen and heating stoves.  From these pieces, he recreates authentic stoves, thus preserving important utilitarian history and rebuilding them in a way to make them useful in today’s homes.  His artistry is evident in the care he takes in reconstructing these old stoves, disassembling the pieces, sandblasting them, fabricating missing components and putting the back together.
