The postcard photograph was taken looking south along Hartwell Street (now Avenue). On the back of the postcard are these words to Miss M.E. Thacher of 33 Mary Street, Worcester, Mass written on October 18, 1906: "I was thinking of you this afternoon. Consequently you will receive a small note. M.B.I." There is also a note identifying the writer as Mary Bonner Ireland. The Now view was taken from near Gray Farm Road.
